‘Fatburger Inc. is an American fast casual restaurant chain. Its tagline is The Last Great Hamburger Stand. While it is a fast food restaurant, the food is cooked and made to order. Some Fatburger restaurants have a liquor license, as well as Fat Bars. Its franchise headquarters are in Beverly Hills, California. Along with the United States Of America, the chain operates in 19 other countries. The Fatburger Restaurant is centered primarily on hamburgers, in which it offers patties of varying size, small to large, and in varying number patties, together with add-ons like cheese, bacon and eggs

From Dennis McLellan’s 2008 Los Angeles Times article “Fatburger founder expanded South L.A. eatery into chain” In 1947, using pieces of scrap materials from her partner (a man who worked with a construction company), Lovie Yancey exposed a three-stool hamburger stand in Los Angeles, California (on Western Avenue) – it had been called Mr. Fatburger.
By 1952, Lovie parted ways together with her partner and thus did the “Mr.” from your stand’s name. Right away, Lovie was actually a fixture in the stand where customers, including entertainers Redd Foxx and Ray Charles, would custom-order their burgers. She would work very long days, and sleepless nights, spending the maximum amount of time on the stand as she could to ensure that everything was being carried out properly. As word got out that Lovie’s Fatburgers were the best around town, she continually got more and more requests on her to keep the stand open later, and later on, in to the night.
